Great Day Morning Show: Bhel Puri
In our forth segment on the KMPH Fox 26 News Great Day Morning Show, I showed hosts Kim and Kopi how to make a famous Indian Street Food snack called Bhel Puri. This snack incorporates the two previous Chutney recipes I made in prior segments (Green Chutney and Tamarind Chutney).
The recipe for the Bhel Puri we made in this segment is as follows:
Ingredients:
2 cups puffed rice
2 tablespoons roasted peanuts
1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1 chopped boiled potato
10 papdis (optional)
1/4 cup sev (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (for garnish)
1 tablespoon green chutney
1 tablespoon tamarind chutney
Bombay Blonde Chaat Masala (to taste)
Directions:
To a medium bowl, toss all ingredients and sprinkle with Chaat Masala to taste. For best texture, eat immediately.
